Tallying 20,000 Voter Contacts this Super Saturday, Jane Timken Surpasses 200,000 Cycle To Date

June 19, 2021

CANTON, OH – Jane Timken, candidate for U.S. Senate, announced Saturday that her campaign surpassed 200,000 voter contacts. This new voter contact milestone comes after today’s Super Saturday ‘Day of Action’ where volunteers hit over 20,000 voter contacts in a single day, highlighting the campaign’s early and robust organizational muscle. In April, Timken became the first 2022 campaign in the state and country to launch direct voter contact efforts and continues to be the only U.S. Senate candidate in the race with a substantial ground game effort and the only campaign with boots on the ground in all 88 Ohio Counties.

“My America First message is resonating with voters all across the state as we talk to Ohioans on the phones and at the doors about the issues that matter,” said Timken. “With an unmatched ground game, statewide support in all 88 counties, and a conservative record of results, momentum continues to show that I am the America First, grassroots’ choice for Ohio.”

Timken made stops today in Cincinnati, Columbus and Canton to rally volunteers.

This impressive voter contact milestones comes on the heels of last week’s announcement of 108 Timken County Chairs in all 88 Ohio Counties and a large ‘Day of Action’ on Saturday.  This focus on the ground game comes as no surprise as Timken’s tenure as Party Chair was marked by an early investment in the grassroots and a focus on the fundamentals: knocking on doors and making phone calls. Timken oversaw the largest grassroots effort in Ohio history with over 13 million voter contacts made for President Trump and Republicans across the ballot that contributed to Ohio’s strong Republican showing on election night 2020.

In addition to being the only U.S. Senate candidate focused on building the ground game operation needed to win, Timken is the only candidate with a network of grassroots Ohio Republicans behind her. Over 130 elected conservative leaders across Ohio have endorsed Jane Timken for Senate, dwarfing the coalition of any of her opponents.

Debate on Critical Race Theory is about future of country

June 16, 2021

Delaware Gazette

By Jane Timken – candidate for U.S. Senate

While crisscrossing the state in my campaign for U.S. Senate, I hear from Ohioans in all corners about the issues they care about. Lately, the issue of Critical Race Theory is front and center as concerned parents are worried about the curriculum that schools are teaching children.

These concerns became so prevalent that I launched a statewide listening tour on education to hear directly from parents about what is really going on behind classroom doors and whether or not Critical Race Theory is seeping into our schools.

The answer? It is.

Democrats and many in the media are trying to discredit this claim from myself and other conservatives in Ohio and across the country. They want to chalk it up as a fabricated “culture war” or say that Republicans don’t want America’s full history taught.

That is unequivocally false.

America’s history should be taught – the good, the bad and the ugly – in order for our children to understand our nation’s history, learn from our mistakes, and be better for tomorrow. No one is disputing that.

But that doesn’t mean that Critical Race Theory is good policy for our children – in fact, it is the exact opposite. Critical Race Theory is born of a Marxist doctrine that seeks to “otherize” our children and put society into boxes – White, Black, Oppressor, Oppressed, etc. If we look back through history, when has “otherizing” a segment of our population ever turned out to be good?

This “theory,” and others like it, become dangerous once we use it to assign labels to students based solely on their skin color or ideology, not on their character or how they treat people. This labeling – race, gender, and identity politics – is taking hold in Ohio schools.

A second grader taught to draw himself as a different race. Anti-police rhetoric causing one young child to ask their Grandpa, a veteran of the police force, if he did bad things to Black people. A “civil disobedience” walkout where if a student didn’t participate quick enough, they were labeled racist by their peers.

Grade-school children being forced to memorize 80 different genders. Gender-neutral bathrooms unilaterally implemented in elementary schools. A teacher dividing a high school classroom into those that believed biological males should compete in girls’ sports and those that didn’t.

These are just some of the stories I have heard while traveling Ohio that have left young children feeling marginalized, peer pressured, guilty and confused.

No, schools aren’t often plastering a curriculum on their website for the media to examine that says “Critical Race Theory taught here” – but it and other radical teachings are happening, and that also gets to the core of the problem. Parents all across the state are complaining that they cannot get access to what is being taught to their children. There is no transparency, no sunlight on the curriculum.

This debate isn’t just about the three words, Critical Race Theory. It’s about the future of our country.

Our schools are already falling behind, magnified by a year of virtual learning, and we have a major workforce crisis in this country. We need to be doubling down on math, science, and reading, focusing on skilled trades and connecting students with businesses and mentorships — things that will prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow. China is laughing all the way to the bank that our schools are more focused on political correctness than competing in a global economy.

It’s about school reform. The outrage over Critical Race Theory highlights the need to expand educational opportunities and access through school choice. No child should be confined to a school that is failing them solely because of their zip code.

And most importantly, I believe it’s about the soul of our nation.

God created us all equal. The tenants of America are that we all have equal opportunity. We should be teaching the ideals of America that have made it a beacon of hope for people all across the world who have come to achieve a better future for themselves and their families.

A good education is what allowed me, a daughter and granddaughter of immigrants, to achieve my American Dream. As a U.S. Senator, I will unapologetically and fiercely defend your children’s right to the best education so that they can live theirs.

Timken’s Robust Ground Game Grows Bigger with 108 County Chairs in All 88 Ohio Counties

June 17, 2021

Timken Continues to Grow Grassroots Momentum

CANTON, OH – Today, Jane Timken, candidate for U.S. Senate in Ohio, announced 108 Timken County Chairs in all 88 counties of Ohio. These County Chairs consist of elected officials, grassroots activists, and business leaders who have endorsed Jane Timken as the clear choice to advance an America First agenda in the United States Senate that champions Ohio values.

This breadth and depth of support across the state highlights Timken’s unparalleled grassroots appeal and her wide strategic advantage over any of her opponents.

“I am proud to have the support of so many conservative warriors and have boots on the ground in all 88 counties in Ohio,” said Timken. “Over the last five years, I fought in the trenches alongside these leaders to advance Ohio values, elect Republicans up and down the ballot, and deliver a resounding victory for President Trump. Now, we are applying that same grit and determination to my race for the United States Senate because this race is too important and the future of our country is at stake.”

Over 130 elected conservative leaders across Ohio have already endorsed Jane Timken for U.S. Senate, and these Timken County Chairs represent a continuation of that wide support. Timken was the first 2022 U.S. Senate campaign in the state and country to launch a grassroots ground game and has already surpassed 100,000 voter contacts. The Timken County Chairs will add to that already robust effort by helping to organize outreach and voter contact efforts in their respective counties.

Today’s announcement only buoys recent internal polling that points to a strong momentum advantage. Since announcing in February, Jane Timken has quadrupled her support on the ballot while other candidates stall or even decline. Importantly, among voters with an opinion of both leading candidates, Timken wins handily with a 2-1 advantage.

Jane Timken Gains Nearly 20 Points in 100 Days on Senate Ballot

Timken Only Candidate Showing Growth in Ballot Position, Name ID, and Favorability

June 2, 2021
CANTON, OH – Jane Timken’s campaign for U.S. Senate released the following poll Wednesday showing that in just 100 days since launching her campaign, Timken has gained nearly 20 points on the ballot. Additionally, among voters with an opinion of both Timken and Josh Mandel, Timken beats Mandel in a head to head matchup with an over 2-1 advantage. Key findings of the poll include:

  • Since launching in February, Timken’s ballot position, image, and statewide awareness are improving on a monthly basis while other candidates are either flat-lining or declining.
  • In a head-to-head matchup with Josh Mandel, Timken has gained 19 percentage points on the ballot.
    • 34% of the electorate has an opinion of both Timken and Mandel, and among voters with an opinion of both leading candidates, Timken has a 2-to-1 advantage with over 50% of the vote! (Timken: 52%, Mandel: 25%)
    • While Mandel has high name ID because this is his fifth run for statewide office in 12 years, he is seeing decline in his numbers across the board and is underperforming relative to his name ID.
    • In other words, the more voters know about Timken, the more they vote for her. The more voters know about Mandel, the less they vote for him.
  • In the full field of Senate candidates, Timken has gained more than 14 points.
    • Among those with an opinion of both Mandel and Timken, the full field ballot is 40% Timken and 16% Mandel.
  • Timken’s favorability ratings have increased by more than 15 points since February.

“I am proud that my record as a conservative disrupter, Party unifier, and problem-solver is resonating with Ohioans,” said Timken. “Voters know that I am the true, America First candidate in this race that doesn’t just talk about supporting President Trump, but has the record of results to prove it. I will continue to criss-cross Ohio and share my message of fighting for Ohio jobs, Ohio businesses and Ohio families.”

Key takeaway #1: As a first time candidate and in just 100 days since launching, Jane Timken is in a position to win in a full field primary, and tromps Mandel in a head to head matchup among voters with an opinion of both.

Key takeaway #2: Jane Timken is the only candidate that is converting her image, name ID and favorability to votes, while other candidates are showing no gain or decline.

Key takeaway #3: Jane Timken is the only candidate with a significant ground game, surpassing 100,000 voter contacts just this week, and is growing her grassroots coalition every week, with over 125 conservative endorsements from all corners of Ohio. The work Timken is putting in is clearly working.

The poll was conducted by Moore Information Group. For more information see the polling memo below:

Touting Unmatched Ground Game, Jane Timken Surpasses 100,000 Voter Contacts

Timken is the Only U.S. Senate Candidate Focused on Direct Voter Contact

June 1, 2021
CANTON, OH – Jane Timken, candidate for U.S. Senate, announced Tuesday that her campaign surpassed 100,000 voter contacts. In April, Timken became the first 2022 campaign in the state and country to launch direct voter contact efforts and continues to be the only U.S. Senate candidate in the race with a substantial ground game effort. This early, coordinated effort of building an America First grassroots operation points to Timken’s strategic advantages and unmatched work ethic.

“Campaigns are won on the ground, talking to voters. Just as I led the largest ground game in Ohio history to re-elect President Trump and Ohio Republicans up and down the ballot, my campaign is building a grassroots operation bigger, better and sooner than anyone in the state,” said Timken. “Our unparalleled ground game will continue to give us a leg up as we talk to Ohioans in all corners of the state about my America First agenda.”

As ORP Chairman, Timken’s tenure was marked by an early investment in ground game and a focus on the fundamentals: knocking on doors and making phone calls. Timken oversaw the largest grassroots effort in Ohio history with over 13 million voter contacts made for President Trump and Republicans across the ballot that contributed to Ohio’s strong Republican showing on election night 2020. Her candidacy for U.S. Senate is no different.

In addition to being the only U.S. Senate candidate focused on building the ground game operation needed to win, Timken also is the only candidate with a network of grassroots Ohio Republicans behind her. Over 125 elected conservative leaders across Ohio have endorsed Jane Timken for Senate, dwarfing the coalition of any of her opponents.
